Travel within Sheffield
The accommodation is within walking distance of the main campus (~25 minutes) however the 120 bus route runs every 10 minutes from near the accommodation to campus.
Regular trams run from the station to the University campus (blue route) however there is no tram route to the accommodation. Those getting public transport from the station are advised to catch the 120 bus from Sheffield Interchange.
Travel to Sheffield
Sheffield is well served by the rail network as an intersection between a number of major routes. Sheffield station is easily accessed using a direct tram to the university campus or by regular bus routes to the accommodation (see above).
Car and Parking
Sheffield is located next to the M1 which runs centrally through the country making navigation by car easy from most major cities. Other well established routes exist for driving from Liverpool and Manchester via the Pennines.
Car parking at the accommodation is free. Parking at the university (for example to transport equipment for workshops) can be arranged in advance at no cost to delegates.
Sheffield is well service by a number of airports including: Doncaster/Sheffield Robin Hood airport (~30 min drive), Manchester (1.5 hr train), Leeds/Bradford (1 hr train) and East Midlands (1 hr with change at Derby)
